In the standard definition of lubricants and marking of containers for lubricants, lubrication equipment and lubrication points are determined to prevent damage from mixing of lubricants during application.
This standard serves for uniform and permanent labeling of lubricants at the fill tank, lubrication device and lubrication point. If the marking is extended to include containers, the same markings should be used.
The special regulations specified in DIN 8659 part 1 apply to the marking of lubrication points on machine tools.
