ISO 6270-1 Determination of Moisture Resistance of Paints and Varnishes - Test Standard for Unilateral Exposure of Test Samples to Condensation

ISO 6270-1 specifies a method for determining the resistance of paint films, paint systems and related products to condensation conditions in accordance with the requirements of coating or product specifications.

ISO 6270-1 Determination of Moisture Resistance of Paints and Varnishes - Test Standard for Unilateral Exposure of Test Samples to Condensation

The method can be applied to coatings both on porous surfaces such as wood, plaster and drywall, and on non-porous surfaces such as metal. It provides an indication of the performance likely to be achieved under severe exposure conditions where continuous condensation occurs on the surface.

The procedure can reveal defects in the coating (including blistering, spotting, softening, wrinkling and embrittlement) and degradation of the substrate. The form and preparation of the test specimens, the duration of the test and the evaluation of the test results are not within the scope of this document.

Among the services provided by our organization within the framework of paint and varnishes testing services, there are also ISO 6270-1 standard tests.
