EN 15037-3 Precast Concrete Products - Standard Test for Clay Blocks

After development of a new product type is completed and before it is put up for sale, appropriate initial type tests should be carried out to verify that the properties estimated from the development meet the requirements of this European Standard and the values ​​to be declared for the product. The appropriate initial type test should be repeated whenever a major change occurs in the source, mixture or structure of the raw materials, or when there is a change in processing conditions where the manufacturer considers that a new product type will be produced.

A factory production control system should be established and documented. The factory production control system should consist of procedures for internal control of production to ensure that such products placed on the market comply with this European Standard and declared values.

The delivered block lot will be uniquely identifiable and traceable with respect to the manufacturing location and data right up to assembly. To this end, the manufacturer must mark the products or delivery documents so that the relationship with the relevant quality records required in this European standard can be assured. The manufacturer will keep these records for the required archiving period and make them available when necessary.

Whenever possible, random sampling will be used where each block in the consignment has an equal chance of being selected for the sample. The appropriate number of blocks will be randomly selected from locations throughout the shipment regardless of the condition or quality of the selected ones, except that blocks damaged in transit are not selected.
