EN ISO 17075-2 Leather - Test for Chromatographic Method

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 17075-2 standard. This standard specifies a method for the determination of chromium(VI) in skin ooze solutions under certain conditions.

EN ISO 17075-2 Leather - Test for Chromatographic Method

The method described is suitable for measuring the chromium(VI) content in leathers up to 3 mg/kg.

ISO 17075-2 applies to all leather types.

The results obtained from this method are strictly dependent on the extraction conditions. Results obtained using other extraction procedures (extraction solution, pH, extraction time, etc.) cannot be compared with the results produced by the procedure described in this document.

If a leather sample is tested with both ISO 17075-1 and this document, the results obtained with this document are considered as reference.

The advantage of the method described in this document is that there is no interference from the color of the extract. However, interlaboratory trials do not show significant differences and results are comparable between both methods.
