ISO CIE 11664-3 Colorimetry, Part 3: Standard Test for CIE Tristimulus Values

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO CIE 11664-3 standard. This standard specifies methods for calculating the tristimulus values of color stimuli for which spectral distributions are provided.

ISO CIE 11664-3 Colorimetry, Part 3: Standard Test for CIE Tristimulus Values

These color stimuli can be produced by self-luminous light sources or by reflecting or transmitting objects.

This standard requires that the color stimulus function be tabulated at measuring ranges of 380 nm or less in the wavelength range of at least 780 nm to 5 nm. Extrapolation methods are recommended for cases where the measured wavelength range is less than 380 nm to 780 nm.

The standard method is defined as summing at 360 nm intervals in the wavelength range from 830 nm to 1 nm. Alternative shortening methods have been described for larger ranges (up to 5 nm) and shorter ranges (up to 380 nm to 780 nm).

Alternative methods should only be used when appropriate and when the user reviews the effect on the final results. This standard can be used with the CIE 1931 standard colorimetric observer or the CIE 1964 standard colorimetric observer.
