EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO CIE 11664-5 standard. ISO CIE 11664-5 specifies a method for calculating the coordinates of the CIE 1976 L*u*v* color space, including lightness, hue, saturation, and hue relations.
It includes two methods for calculating Euclidean distances in this space to represent the relative perceived magnitude of color differences. It also specifies the method for calculating the coordinates of the u',v' uniform chromaticity scale diagram.
ISO CIE 11664-5 can be applied to tristimulus values calculated using the color matching functions of the CIE 1931 standard colorimetric system or the CIE 1964 standard colorimetric system.
This part of ISO CIE 11664 can be used to specify color stimuli perceived as belonging to a reflecting or transmitting object where a three-dimensional field is required more uniformly than a tristimulus field.
This includes self-luminous displays such as cathode ray tubes if they are used to simulate reflected or transmitting objects and the stimuli are properly normalized. This part of ISO CIE 11664 does not apply, as a whole, to color stimuli perceived as belonging to an area that appears to emit light as a primary light source or that appears to reflect such light.
