EN 1504-4 Products and Systems for the Protection and Repair of Concrete Structures - Part 4: Structural Adhesion Test Standard

This part 1504 of EN 4 specifies requirements for the identification, performance (including durability) and safety of structural bonding products and systems to be used for structural bonding of reinforcement materials to an existing concrete structure;

These:

• Adhesion of exterior boards In such applications, applying steel or other suitable materials (eg fiber-reinforced composites) to the surface of a concrete structure for reinforcement purposes, including laminating slabs;
• Bonding of hardened concrete to hardened concrete is typically associated with the use of precast units in repair and reinforcement;
• Pouring fresh concrete into hardened concrete using an adhesive bonded joint where it forms part of the structure and must act as a composite.

The performance requirements in this part of this standard may not apply in extreme environmental conditions, for example for very specific applications such as cryogenic use, and do not cover special situations such as accidental impact from traffic or ice, or earthquake loading where certain performance is concerned.

For FPC, the manufacturer may choose representative identification or performance tests, or may choose other test methods. Such other FPC test methods will be associated with initial identification and performance testing methods to ensure product conformity with the requirements of this document. This correlation will be clearly documented in the FPC system.
