This European Standard does not apply to gates, gates and barriers designed for installation in areas accessible to persons and where the main areas of use provide safe access for goods and vehicles escorted or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises within the scope of EN 13241-1.

Construction products that can be accessed or driven by vehicles should be protected by appropriate measures such as barriers, expandable ramps.

According to EN 2011:1627, which was in force until 1999, the classes were named WK (as WK 1, WK 2, WK 3), referring to the German Widerstandsklasse term, while with the standard that came into force in 2011, the English “Resistance Class” term was referred to as RC (RC1). , RC2, RC3, RC4, RC5, RC6).
