Radiographic examination (RT)is performed using a radioactive isotope or an x-ray tube to create an image in a film or digital format. This non-destructive testing (NDT) method is a volumetric investigation that detects defects that are not open to the surface and otherwise undetectable. Many materials and products can be examined for discontinuities using radiographic inspection ranging from small electronic components to large ships.
EUROLAB radiographic inspection staff are ASNT Central Certificate Program (ACCP), PCN (ISO 9712 compliant), EN 4179 and NAS 410 certified.
Our NDT laboratories also implement Computed Radiography, a method that produces images in any digital format that can be viewed on any laptop or computer, eliminating the need for chemical processing and expensive film storage.
In addition to traditional and digital radiography, EUROLAB offers Close Proximity Radiography (CPR). Also known as the “Small Control Area Radiography” (SCAR) system, the CPR system has been developed and pioneered as a unique industrial radiography process that does not require staff evacuation and the disruptions caused by it. Near radiography can produce both film and digital imaging.
