EN ISO 228-1 Pipe Threads Without Pressure Tight Connections on Threads, Part 1: Test Standard for Dimensions, Tolerances and Identification

These threads are not suitable as connecting threads on which a pressure-tight connection is made on the thread. If assemblies with such threads need to be pressure-proofed, this should be accomplished by clamping the two clamping surfaces outside the threads and placing a suitable gasket.
