TAPPI T 494 Standard Test for Tensile Properties of Paper and Cardboard (Using Fixed Extension Apparatus)

This includes crepe paper, crimped paper, air-dried paper, and paper that has been expanded by mechanical compression. Elasticity is considered in decorative papers and in certain industrial grades such as paper tapes and wrapping papers, both as an indicator of how well the paper will conform to irregular shapes and as an indicator of the paper's performance under conditions, along with tensile energy absorption.
