EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services under the UL 181 test standard. These requirements apply to materials for the fabrication of air duct and air connection systems for use in accordance with the International Mechanical Code (IMC).
Air ducts and air connectors covered by these requirements include lengths of preformed flexible or rigid ducts, materials in the form of sheets for field fabrication of lengths of rigid ducts, and preformed flexible air connectors.
For the purposes of these requirements, air ducts and air connectors are classified as follows:
Class 0: Air ducts and air connectors with zero surface combustion.
Class 1: Air ducts and air connectors with a flame spread index not greater than 25 and smoke enhanced index not greater than 50 without evidence of ongoing progressive burning.
