The responses of different degrees of chlorination vary over a wide range. This document describes the procedure for obtaining comparable results for SCCPs and MCCPs with a defined calibration standard of the most typically used mixtures (59% chlorination degree for SCCPs and 55% chlorination degree for MCCPs) and for SCCPs gas chromatography uses four ion traces and four ion traces for MCCPs with negative ion chemical ionization mass spectrometry (GC-NCI-MS).
