It is designed for gases used in the treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients or the use of surgical instruments. Examples of gases are oxygen, medical air, and oxygen/nitrogen oxide mixtures.
This document applies to VIPRs installed in fillable cylinders with a working pressure of up to 30.000 kPa (300 bar) and is intended to be filled in cylinder filling plants or self-filling systems as used here in maintenance applications.
The VIPRs covered in this document are pressure preset and are supplied with a pressure outlet and/or preset flow outlets.
