IEC 60601-2-24 Standard Test for Basic Safety and Basic Performance of Medical Electrical Equipment, Infusion Pumps and Controllers

This particular standard does not apply to:

• Devices specially designed for diagnostic or similar use;
• Devices for extracorporeal circulation of blood;
• Implantable devices;
• Equipment specifically designed for diagnostic use within the scope of urodynamics;
• Equipment specially designed for diagnostic use within the scope of male impotence testing;
• Devices covered by ISO 28620.
