ISO 23328-1 gives the short term airborne sodium chloride particle loading test method for evaluating the filtration performance of respiratory system filters (BSF) intended for the filtration of exhaled gases.
ISO 23328-1 is applicable to BSF used with a clinical respiratory system. It does not apply to other types of filters, such as those designed to protect vacuum sources or gas sample lines, filter compressed gases, or protect test equipment for physiological respiratory measurements.
