This standard specifies methods for producing radiation beams with radiation conditions that can be used under test conditions typically found in test laboratories or manufacturing facilities for the specification of medical diagnostic X-ray equipment.
Examples of such radiation attributes are radiation beams emanating from the X-ray source assembly by filtering. radiation conditions represent the more general situation in which scattered radiation emerges from the exit surface of a patient or a phantom. This requires a well-defined geometric arrangement.
