JIS T 1553 Standard Test for Optics and Optical Instruments, Medical Endoscopes and Endotherapy Devices

The endoscope FOV depends on the focal length of the lens and the physical size of the image sensor (film or digital). For an endoscope with lens focal length f and image sensor size h along one direction, shorter f or higher h will give a larger FOV along that direction.
