This International standard specifies definitions of electrical, thermal and loading characteristics of devices in relation to their behavior during and after energizing and, where appropriate, methods for presentation, determination and verification of these properties.

IEC 60613 specifies performance-related definitions and conditions for the electrical and charging properties of X-ray tube assemblies with regard to their behavior during and after energizing, and methods of presentation and measurement of these properties, where appropriate. Therefore, this International standard applies to the manufacturer and the responsible body.
