TS EN 61326-1 Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use - EMU Requirements - Part 1: General Conditions

The IEC 61326-1 standard, prepared by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), an affiliate of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), describes the EMC requirements for electrical equipment designed for measurement, control and laboratory use and has six subheadings:

TS EN 61326-1 Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use - EMU Requirements - Part 1: General Conditions

  • 61326-2-1 Performance criteria, test configurations and operating conditions for sensitive test measuring equipment for EMC-free applications
  • 61326-2-2 Performance criteria, test configurations and operating conditions for portable test device, measuring device and monitoring device used in low voltage distribution systems
  • 61326-2-3 Performance criteria, test configurations and operating conditions for integrated or remote signal conditioning transducers
  • Test configuration, operating conditions and performance criteria for the device for insulation fault location in accordance with 61326-2-4 IEC 61557-9 standard and for insulation monitoring device according to IEC 61557-8 standard
  • 61326-2-5 Performance criteria, test configurations and operating conditions for field devices with interfaces according to IEC 61784-1, CP 3/2 standard
  • 61326-2-6 In-body diagnostics (IVD) medical equipment

The IEC 61326-1 standard describes the immunity and emission requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for electrical equipment operating from a power source or battery less than 1000 Volt alternating current or 1500 Volt direct current. This standard also includes measurement and test devices, control devices, laboratory devices and accessories intended for use in non-industrial areas, designed for professional, industrial process, industrial manufacturing and educational use.

As the number of devices used wirelessly increases, the issue of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) also gains importance. The operation of different electronic devices without mutual interference when they are working close to each other is electromagnetic compatibility.

Within the scope of measurement, control and laboratory equipment tests, tests in accordance with the IEC 61326-1 standard are also carried out by our organization.
