CISPR 16-2-1 has been set as a basic standard that specifies the measurement methods of transmitted disturbance events in the frequency range 9 kHz to 18 GHz in general, and especially in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. The frequency range with a CDNE is 9 kHz to 300 Hz.
According to IEC Guide 107, CISPR 16 is a core EMC standard for use by IEC's product committees. As outlined in Guide 107, product committees are responsible for determining the applicability of the EMC standard. CISPR and its subcommittees are available to cooperate with product committees in evaluating the value of certain EMC tests for certain products.
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in IEC 60050-161 apply.
Ancillary equipment includes transducers (eg current and voltage probes and artificial networks) connected to a measurement receiver or (test) signal generator and used in the transfer of the disturbance signal between the EUT and measurement or test equipment.
