ISO 5805 Standard Test for Mechanical Vibration and Shock, Human Exposure, Glossary

It provides standard term definitions and supplements ISO 2041, but does not include general terms that are readily available in dictionaries.

In the biodynamic literature, or where the assessment of human exposure to mechanical vibration and shock is still valid, several synonyms are included between terms describing aspects of vibration or shock that affect humans.

However, the use of the primary standard term (listed first) is preferred, and the use of ambiguous terms is deprecated. References to "shock" in the context of biodynamics should be understood in a mechanical, not a medical sense.
