EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of IEC 60092-350 test standard. IEC 60092-350 provides general structural requirements and test methods for use in the manufacture of copper conductor electrical power, control and instrumentation cables designed for stationary electrical systems at voltages up to and including 18/30(36) kV on board.
Reference to fixed systems includes those subject to vibration (due to the movement of the ship or installation) or movement (due to the movement of the ship or installation) and does not include those intended for frequent flexing.
Cables suitable for frequent or continuous flexible use are detailed in other IEC standards such as IEC 60227 (all parts) and IEC 60245 (all parts) and their use is limited to situations that do not involve direct exposure to the marine environment.
