EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of IEC 60255-21-3 standard. This part of the IEC 60255-21 standard is one of a series of parts that specifies the vibration, shock, impact and seismic requirements applicable to electromechanical and static measuring relays and protection equipment with or without output contacts.
This standard includes two alternative types of seismic testing: uniaxial sinus sweep seismic testing (method A); and biaxial multi-frequency random seismic testing (method B).
During the preparation of this standard, it has been determined that the number of countries where the first test method is preferred is approximately equal to the number of countries where the second method is preferred. Therefore, both methods have been preserved and neither is defined as a reference method.
The requirements of this standard are only applicable to measuring relays and protection equipment in new condition. The tests specified in this standard are type tests.

Uniaxial Sine Sweep Seismic Test
It is a test method in which a sample is subjected to sinusoidal vibration scans in the three vertical axes of the sample for constant displacement or constant acceleration, respectively, in a standard frequency range. The term sample includes any auxiliary part that is an integral functional feature of the measuring relay protection equipment under test.
