EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 1493 test standard. This European standard applies to fixed, mobile and mobile vehicle lifts for inspecting and working above or below vehicles in the raised position, which are not intended to lift people but are designed to lift vehicles completely.
The vehicle lift may consist of one or more lift units. The power supply to the car lift by the internal combustion engines is not taken into account.
It is assumed that the floor or floor supporting the vehicle lift used is horizontal. The relevant machines and the degree of coverage of hazards, dangerous situations and dangerous events are specified in this standard. In addition, machines must comply with EN ISO 12100-1 for hazards not covered by this standard.
The purpose of this European standard is to define rules for protecting persons against the risks of accidents associated with the operation of vehicle lifts.
While preparing this standard, it is assumed that only authorized persons use the vehicle lifts and that the working area is sufficiently illuminated.
