Part 2 of this standard, in addition to part 1, specifies technical delivery conditions for flat and long products and semi-finished products intended for further processing of hot-rolled non-alloy quality steels in grades into flat and long products.
The steels specified in this standard are not intended to be heat treated, except for products delivered in +N delivery condition. Stress relief is welcome. Products delivered in +N condition can be hot formed or normalized after delivery.
This standard stipulates that semi-finished products to be converted into rolled products in accordance with this standard are the subject of special agreements at the time of order. Compliance with certain applications for certain classes and product forms is specified at the time of ordering.
If the strip is adequately machined, the surface condition should not impair an application suitable for the steel grade. Products will be delivered with special or non-specific inspection and testing to demonstrate compliance with the order and this standard.
In addition to the requirements of EN 10025-1, products from S185 steel should only be subjected to non-specific inspection and testing, and only certificates of conformity to order should be provided when specified at the time of order.
