It contains a set of requirements that a product or service can meet to demonstrate a certain guarantee of quality and legality. KIWA prepares evaluation guidelines (BRL) in this way on various issues. Requirements in BRL are prepared by an independent committee, and a product or service is evaluated according to these requirements.
BRL 0501 is an evaluation directive for concrete reinforcing steels. The conditions in this evaluation guide are taken into account when evaluating businesses applying for documents for steel reinforcement by organizations recognized by the Dutch Accreditation Council. The application area of this standard is concrete, reinforcing steel, prestressing steel, prestressing systems, thermal bridges, junction boxes, truss beams, steel fibers and fiberglass rods.
Products covered by BRL 0501 standard comply with EN 10080 and NEN 6008 standards and are designed for use in concrete structures.
