The BS 6744 standard, developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), is a British material standard related to the chemical composition and mechanical properties of stainless steels.
The standard in question is about stainless steel rods for reinforcing and using concrete. Class descriptions are compatible with the European steel number system, but there is currently no European standard for these products. The steels included in this standard are also included in the BS EN 10088-3 standard. Although the specified composition ranges are the same, there are minor differences in the percentage of some elements.
