EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 10088-2 standard. EN 10088-2 is the material standard for general purpose stainless steel sheet, plate and strip.
A total of 19 stainless steel grades are listed, including 14 ferritic, 2 martensitic, 40 precipitation hardening, 8 austenitic, and 83 austenitic-ferritic duplex. The chemical composition of this stainless steel is shown in this article.
The general technical delivery conditions specified in EN 10021 apply in addition to the features of this European standard, unless otherwise specified in this European standard.
This European standard does not apply to components produced by further processing of the product forms listed above and whose quality characteristics change as a result of such further processing.
Products shall be free from internal defects that would prevent them from being used for their usual purpose. Ultrasonic testing of austenitic and austenitic-ferritic stainless steel flat products ≥ 6 mm is acceptable at the time of inquiry and ordering according to EN 10307.
