EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 14218 standard. This European standard specifies the characteristics of flanged hex nuts with metric fine pitch threads in product class A for d = 16 mm and product class B for d > 16 mm, with nominal thread diameters from 8 mm to 20 mm (inclusive).
In special cases, if specifications other than those listed in this European standard are required, they should be selected from existing European and international standards such as ISO 261, ISO 724, EN ISO 898-6, ISO 965-2, EN ISO 3506.
The nut should be measured using two flat ring gauges, A and B, to demonstrate the random acceptability of hex height, corner fill and width across corners. Gauge A will be placed on the nut and seated on the flange. Gauge B should be placed on top of the nut perpendicular to the nut axis. The two indicators should not be in contact.
