EN ISO 7622-2 Steel Cord Conveyor Belts, Longitudinal Tensile Test, Part 2: Standard Test for Measurement of Tensile Strength

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 7622-2 standard. EN ISO 7622-2 specifies a method for determining the longitudinal tensile strength of steel cords forming the carcass of conveyor belts. Applies to steel body conveyor belts only.

EN ISO 7622-2 Steel Cord Conveyor Belts, Longitudinal Tensile Test, Part 2: Standard Test for Measurement of Tensile Strength

This test method aims to verify the tensile strength of steel cords forming the carcass of conveyor belts by destructive tests. Since it is a destructive test, it is used only in case of litigation or when a certificate of conformity has not been issued by the cable manufacturer.

The tensile test for breaking a test specimen is prepared such that only one of the warp cords is under stress.

The force exerted by the machine must be adaptable to the strength of the test specimen. Test machine capacity should be such that the maximum test load is 15% to 85% of machine capacity.

EUROLAB assists manufacturers with EN ISO 7622-2 test compliance.
