This test is a method to evaluate the compressive properties of porous and cellular metals. The pressure test is performed using a compression testing machine with a constant crosshead velocity.

The test specimen should be placed between the plates of the test machine while allowing the centerline of the test specimen to coincide with the centerline of the top and bottom plates.
