Applicable to pre-crimped or pressure-welded wire screens made of high tensile steel, stainless steel or other metal wires conforming to ISO 4783-3.
Wire diameter tolerance before weaving should be as specified in ISO 4782. The weaving process normally distorts the wire and affects its diameter. The diameter of the wire after weaving is intolerant.
Wire screens cannot be produced commercially without some manufacturing flaws. The manufacturer and customer must agree on the number and nature of major defects allowed per unit area of the wire screen. The yield percentage of the screen will be agreed with the customer and will vary according to the size of the wire screen piece.
