ISO 6362-5 Forged Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys - Extruded Bars - Part 5: Tolerances on Shape and Dimensions for Round - Square and Hexagonal Bars

• Forged aluminum and aluminum alloy extruded round bars with diameters ranging from 8 mm to 350 mm;
• Machined aluminum and aluminum alloy extruded square and hexagonal bars with width from 10mm to 220mm; It can be applied to extruded round, square and hexagonal bars.

For the purposes of this standard, alloys are divided into two groups corresponding to varying difficulties during the manufacture of products. Square extruded bars can be delivered in arbitrary lengths unless a fixed or minimum length is specified in the order document. Actual lengths and tolerances on arbitrary lengths are to be agreed between supplier and buyer.

The deflection should be measured with the bar supported on a horizontal base plate so that deflection is minimized by the mass of the bar. The squareness of the cut ends must be within half of the fixed length tolerance range for both fixed and random lengths.
