Of high strength steels for cold forming, coated with zinc (Z), zinc-iron alloy (ZF), zinc-aluminum alloy (ZA), aluminum-zinc alloy (AZ), aluminum-silicon alloy (AS) or zinc-coated It covers the requirements for products with a continuous hot dip coating made of multi-phase steels for cold forming at thicknesses 0,20 mm ≤ t < 3,0 mm.
By agreement at the time of inquiry and ordering, this European Standard is applicable to continuous hot dip coated flat products with extended validity range defined for thicknesses t < 0,20 mm or thicknesses 3,0 mm ≤ t ≤ 6,5 mm.
Products covered by this European Standard are used where cold formability, high strength, a defined minimum yield strength or corrosion resistance are the most important factors. The corrosion resistance of the product is proportional to the coating thickness, hence its mass. The products covered by this European Standard can be used as substrates for organic coated flat products specified in EN 10169 for building and general engineering applications.
