ISO 6362-7 Forged Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys - Extruded Bars - Pipes and Profiles - Part 7: Chemical Composition Testing

The “remainder” is the difference between the sum of all other metallic elements present in amounts of 0,010% or more each and 100%, and is expressed to the second decimal place before determining the total.

In recording test results, the number representing the result of the test to determine the concentration of an element should be expressed in terms of the same number of decimal places as the corresponding limit in this part of ISO 6362.

The four-digit numerical designations and their chemical composition limits are exactly the same as the International Registration of Alloy Designations and Chemical Composition Limits for Wrought Aluminum and Wrought Aluminum Alloys. In order to determine compliance with these limits, the observed value or the calculated value from the analysis is rounded according to the rounding rules.
