The EN 17092 standard, a European standard, describes the characteristics and test methods of clothing designed for motorcycle riders. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) under the heading of protective clothing for motorcycle riders as follows:

As in everything else, safety is very important in motorcycling.
AAA class clothes are those that protect against the highest risk level. These garments have serious and limiting ergonomic, weight and thermal properties. Class AA clothing is the second highest level of protection against the greatest risks of motorcycle activities. These clothes have lower ergonomic and weight features compared to AAA class clothes. These garments provide the optimum balance of protection and comfort for most riders.
Class A clothing has the third highest level of protection. Class B garments are designed to provide equivalent wear protection of Class A garments, not just containing impact protectors. Finally, C class clothing has the lowest protection level.
Now, after the publication of the EN 17092 standard, manufacturers have to document their motorcycle clothing according to this standard.
Meanwhile, EN 13595 standard covers protective clothing for professional motorcyclists, while EN 17092 standard is for clothing used by non-professional riders. These two standards use different test methods and direct comparisons are not possible. Nevertheless, the EN 17092 standard provides a proportional flexibility in protective performance compared to the EN 13595 standard and puts more emphasis on comfort.
