This standard also contains administrative details and guidelines for connector/socket qualification and an appendix for relevant technical information.

The EIA-364 standard has replaced the previously published MIL-STD-1344 standard. The test methods described in the EIA-364 standard are suitable substitutes for the test methods defined in the previous MIL-STD-1344 standard. Users should evaluate these methods for their particular application and consider the B-364 reference table provided in the EIA-1 standard to determine applicable test conditions and levels.
