JP 4.01 Standard Test for Defense Transport System

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of JP 4.01 standard. This publication provides common doctrine for planning, commanding and controlling and utilizing resources within the Defense Transportation System.

This publication has been prepared under the chairmanship of the Chief of Staff (CJCS). Establishes joint doctrine for managing the activities and performance of the United States Armed Forces in joint operations and provides considerations for military interaction with governmental and non-governmental organizations, multinational forces, and other inter-organizational partners.

Provides military guidance for the exercise of authority by combatant commanders and other joint force commanders (JFCs) and sets joint doctrine for operations and training. It provides military guidance for the Armed Forces to use in preparing and executing their plans and orders.

It is not the intent of this publication to limit JFC's mandate to organize power and carry out the task as JFC sees most appropriate to ensure unity of effort in achieving its goals.

The joint doctrine established in this publication applies to the Joint Staff, combat command commanders, sub combined commands, joint task forces, subcomponents of these commands, Services, and combat support organizations.
