EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of MIL PRF 85045 testing. Fiber optic cables covered by this standard are designed for use in military applications where performance characteristics are required.
These cables are military-specific as they must function satisfactorily in harsh system environments as listed below. For example, application conditions on board include many unique requirements for cables, such as liquid, shock, solid toxicity and flammability requirements.
The temperature values specified in the specification sheets for this standard represent the maximum allowable operating temperature range of the cable.
The sheathing systems of fiber optic cables within the scope of this standard may be disrupted by some liquids or compounds. If such deterioration occurs, fluids or compounds and conditions for failure should be included in the specification sheet as a precautionary note.
The insulation systems of polyvinylidene fluoride sheathed cables in this standard may deteriorate by contact with phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids at high temperatures. Polyvinylidene fluoride sheathed cables with this specification are not recommended for applications where they will be in contact with phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids at temperatures above 50°C.
