A hardened tool steel blade with an accurately tolerant groove of the diameter of the fastener to be tested is inserted into a fastener support fork with similar grooves. There is a steel support to hold these two components. The fastener to be tested rests on the fork and a clamping force is applied directly on top of the blade to cut the fastener twice.
