EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of STANAG 4239 standard. The military standardization agency (MAS) has published this Standardization Agreement (STANAG 4239), which outlines electrostatic discharge test procedures for determining the safety and serviceability of ammunition containing electro-explosive devices (EEDS) and related electrical/electronic systems and subsystems.

STANAG 4239 Electrostatic Discharge, Ammunition Test Procedures

Electrostatic environmental conditions specified in STANAG 4235 for NATO forces. Guidance on electrostatic discharge (ESD) hazard assessment and testing is provided in the AOP-24 document.

Pyrotechnic Initiated Explosive (PIE) projectiles use continuous explosive trains and do not have safety and armament systems in the accepted sense. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the explosives and other compositions used in the projectile are safe and suitable for service use during the storage, weapon operation and flight stages.
