EN 13016-1 Liquid Petroleum Products, Vapor Pressure, Part 1: Standard Test Method for Vapor Pressure Saturated to Air

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 13016-1 test standard. This European standard specifies a method for determining the saturated vapor pressure to air (ASVP) (total vapor pressure) exerted in vacuum by volatile, low-viscosity petroleum products, components, ethanol mixtures up to 85% (V/V).

EN 13016-1 Liquid Petroleum Products, Vapor Pressure, Part 1: Standard Test Method for Vapor Pressure Saturated to Air

A dry vapor pressure equivalent (DVPE) can be calculated from the measurement of vapor pressure containing air (ASVP). The conditions used in the test described in this standard are a steam-liquid ratio of 4:1 and a test temperature of 37,8°C.

The equipment is not wetted by water during testing and therefore the method described is suitable for testing samples with or without oxygen; Dissolved water in the sample is not taken into account.

This method described is suitable for testing air-saturated samples with a DVPE between 15,5 kPa and 106,0 kPa; Vapor pressures outside this range can be measured, but their precision has not been determined.
