ISO 12619-8 Road Vehicles Compressed Gaseous Hydrogen and Hydrogen-Natural Gas Mixtures Fuel System Components Part 8: Pressure Gauge Test

ISO 12619-8 specifies tests and requirements for the pressure gauge, compressed gaseous hydrogen (CGH 3833) and hydrogen/natural gas mixture fuel system component intended for use in the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 2.

Applies to vehicles using a hydrogen/natural gas mixture using CGH 14687 in accordance with ISO 1-14687 or ISO 2-2 and natural gas in accordance with ISO 15403-1 and ISO/TR 15403-2.

Does not apply to:

• liquefied hydrogen (LH2) fuel system components;
• fuel containers;
• stationary gas engines;
• Container mounting hardware;
• Electronic fuel management;
• refueling containers;
• Fuel cell vehicles.

It is recognized that various components not specifically covered herein can be inspected to meet ISO 12619-8 criteria and tested against appropriate functional tests. All references to pressure in ISO 12619-8 are considered gauge pressures unless otherwise stated.

This test is designed to check for a potential failure of the insulation between the two pin coil assembly and the pressure gauge housing. The component shall be pressurized to 0,75 times the working pressure during the test and the reading shall be within the tolerance specified by the manufacturer.
