TS EN 14143 Respiratory Equipment - Self Sufficient Respirator Immersion Device

The BS EN 14143 standard has been developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) to explain the properties, test methods and marking criteria of the self-contained breathing diving apparatus used in respiratory protective devices. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) under the following heading: TS EN 14143 Respiratory equipment - Self-contained breathing diving apparatus.

This standard describes the minimum requirements of independent re-breathing diving devices to ensure that the respiratory protection device operates at a minimum level of safety. The requirements of this standard can be listed as follows:

• Maximum 6 meters depth for devices using pure oxygen
• Maximum 40 meters depth for apparatus using oxygen in nitrogen gas mixtures
• Maximum 100 meters depth for devices using oxygen and helium or mixtures of oxygen, nitrogen and helium gas
• Water temperatures between 4 degrees and 34 degrees or water temperatures other than those specified by the manufacturer

Diving equipment is the equipment used by underwater divers to make diving activities easier, safer and more comfortable. This equipment is an equipment designed primarily for this purpose.
