TS EN 1827 Respiratory Protective Devices - Half Masks with Separable Filter and No Breathing Valve for Protection Against Gases and Particles or Particles Only

The BS EN 1827 standard has been developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) to explain the properties, test methods and marking criteria of separable filter half masks that are used with respiratory protective devices and do not contain breathing valves for protection against gases and particles.

TS EN 1827 Respiratory Protective Devices - Half Masks with Separable Filter and No Breathing Valve for Protection Against Gases and Particles or Particles Only

This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) under the following heading: TS EN 1827 Respiratory protective devices - Half masks with detachable filters without breathing valves for protection against gases and particles or particles only - Properties, experiments, marking.

The standard in question includes separable filter masks or reusable half masks designed for use in a single task, without breathing valves for protection against gases and particles or just particles.

Half masks are a respirator that fits the nose and mouth and provides respiratory protection to the person in a non-blocking way. These masks do not provide protection for the eyes and face. Half masks, the body of which is made of soft elastomer material, have a fitting or an air connection to install the filters. The sealing edge is designed to prevent air from leaking into the breathing apparatus.

Some of the half masks have a breathing valve, while others do not. The valves ensure that air is inhaled through the filter and no air enters the mask from the outside while breathing. In this respect, tests of masks without valves providing protection against gases and particles or only particles are important.

Within the scope of breathing apparatus compatibility tests carried out by our organization EUROLAB, testing services in accordance with TS EN 1827 standard are also provided.
