The BS EN 15333-1 standard has been developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), which includes the characteristics of the equipment providing the flow, test methods and marking criteria in respiratory protective devices containing open-circuit, gas at gas level. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) under the following heading: TS EN 15333-1 Respiratory devices - Device with open circuit and gas supplied at the level of the core - Part 1: Device providing flow.
This standard describes the minimum requirements for the supplied demand surface and the diving apparatus for the demand surface in order to ensure the safe operation of the respiratory protection device at the lowest level. This standard is valid for:
The requirements of this standard are intended to take into account the interaction between the user, the device and, if possible, the environment in which the device can be used. This standard does not cover saturated diving systems, mini bell systems or devices used only for oxygen decompression.
Equipment covered by this standard should include at least the following components: surface gas source (gas supply, surface control system and gas monitoring) and respiratory system (face part, demand valve and exhalation valve, cable network and safety devices). It may also include equipment, auxiliary gas supply, depth gauge and voice communication system.
Within the scope of breathing apparatus compatibility tests carried out by our organization EUROLAB, testing services in accordance with TS EN 15333-1 standard are also provided.
