EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of IACS UR E10 standard. This test specification is applicable to, but not limited to, electrical, electronic and programmable equipment for control, monitoring, alarm and protection systems for use on ships.
These tests are to demonstrate the equipment's ability to operate as intended under specified test conditions. The scope of testing (ie the choice and sequence of performing tests and the number of parts to be tested) will be determined upon examination and evaluation of the equipment or component under test, taking into account its intended use.
Unless otherwise specified in the test specification, the equipment will be tested in its normal position.
Electrical and electronic equipment on board ships, which may cause electromagnetic disturbances and are not required by the classification rules or International conventions, shall be of a type that meets the test requirements of test specifications 19 and 20.
