EUROLAB, together with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of AATCC TM23 testing. This test method is designed to evaluate the resistance of the color of textiles of all types and forms when exposed to atmospheric nitrogen oxides derived from the combustion of natural gas.

AATCC TM23 Color Fastness Test Method to Combusted Gas Fumes

This test method can be used to evaluate the color fastness of dyes by applying the dye to textiles with a specified procedure and at a specified color depth and testing dyed textiles.

A textile sample and test control fabric are simultaneously exposed to oxides of nitrogen from burnt gas fumes until the control shows a color change corresponding to the fading standard. The change in color of the sample is evaluated with the standard gray scale to evaluate the change in color.

If no color change is observed in the sample after one treatment period or cycle, exposure may be continued for the specified number of periods or number of periods required to produce a certain amount of color change in the sample.
