EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 361 test standard. This European standard specifies requirements, test methods, marking, information provided by the manufacturer, and packaging for full body harnesses.
Other types of body support specified in other European standards, for example EN 358, EN 813 or EN 1497, may be included in a full body harness. Fall arrest systems are specified in EN 363.
The weaving and sewing threads of the full body harness shall be made of pure filament or multifilament synthetic fibers suitable for their intended use.
Threads used for sewing will be physically compatible with weaving and its quality will be compatible with weaving. However, it will be in a contrasting hue or color to facilitate visual inspection.
The fall arrest fasteners can be positioned to lie above the center of gravity, in front of the chest or back, or on both shoulders during use of the full-body harness.
